“I'm just tryin' to tell ya that there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head.” - Kacey Musgraves
Well, its been a little while since my last Celebrate Sunday post. Between back to school, fall activities, house projects, house guests, a 1st Communion and just keeping our 4 kiddos alive...our plate has been pretty full.
However, there is one thing that has remained constant: the chaos of this world. And sadly, a week ago, Kenosha, WI was attacked by rioters triggered by a police officer shooting.
I am choosing not to comment on the shooting itself, but I will say Kenosha, WI is very near and dear to my heart. It’s one town south of my hometown, Racine, WI and it’s where my sister, her husband, and her three kids live.
However, I will say it absolutely breaks my heart that my sister’s son (my godson) was not able to start school last week because of the riots, Kenosha’s downtown got completely destroyed, and it became crystal clear to me that there is so much hate and anger in this world.
This event hit me extremely hard as it was so close to home. And, although I am not able to eloquently put into words to fully describe my emotions caused by the events that transcended over the past week, if you watch this video from a Kenosha homegirl, she pretty much sums it up for me:

Yes, the Kenosha riots certainly rocked me to the core. And, I feel personally compelled to rise up and do something to make a difference in this crazy messed up world...
So, with that being said, I’ve decided to put my energy into my passion, The Celebrate Company and our next box, The Rainbow Box.
This box is designed and created by myself and some very talented kids to inspire others to Choose Love and Create Your Own Rainbow. And, for every box sold, we will donate $5 to help with the efforts to rebuild Kenosha!
I truly believe we can come together and bring love, kindness and rainbows into this world! Let’s celebrate each other and life together! 🌈
You speak from the heart.
